Millie’s Mastitis Returns…

She had eaten well through the day and had willingly fed the puppies…
However about 11pm I had to take her to the vet…
She could barely move and was running a very high fever…
BATHING POOR MILLIE’S SORE NIPPLES
He gave her the same antibiotic and pain killing injection as before…
As well as a course of tablets – safe for the puppies…
We have been up all night with her – so please understand a brief post today…
I’m nursing her with the help of the puppies and hot water bottles and a warm compress…
She’s allowing the pups to nurse on the swollen breast and this is more than helping…
We are of course very worried…
However as I write this brave little Millie is feeding her puppies…
I can’t tell you how emotional we’ve been…
But with nine little pups we have just had to carry on…

On a lighter and brighter note the little ‘doodles had their first milky kibble meal this morning…

As you can see from the photos they did extremely well and we are very relieved…
They really are thriving – real cheeky little puppies !!!
However we have decided against moving them into the dining room today…
We feel this would be too much stress for Millie – the last thing she’s needs right now is change…
So I shall leave you with some of the latest photos of the Goldendoodle puppies…
