And whilst I write this there’s only one – our little Max (or Dave as he’s known in these parts lol)…

Well I say “little” – he has a squawk as big as his feet !!!

It was his first night alone without the litter last night…

He howled for 2 hours – he was in such a state I had to come down to him…

He eventually fell asleep – but he really is missing his brothers and sisters…

Millie totally ignored the noise lol – well she is still shattered from the mini Midlands ‘doodle meet…



MILLIE TAKES A MUD BATH LOL


As you can see she had an absolute ball and loved seeing her best mates Biddy – and of course Paddy and Lynn…

OK onto the last of the little ‘doods…

They had a whale of a time their last week with us…

I think they enjoyed the more personal touch and loved the “sit and beg” game…

…aren’t they just clever little ‘doodles !!!



MILLIE JOINS IN THE GOLDENDOODLE PUPPY TRAINING CLASS

The last day with the three puppies didn’t start too well lol…

We were woken around 4am to a noise of real distress from all three…

Convinced someone had broken in and was trying to steal them we raced down the stairs…

Some how and no idea on God’s earth how – a black kitten had got into their room…

They had obviously woken and spotted it…

She was a beauty and sat bold as brass staring at them…

The three amigos were in a dreadful state lol…

It took us a long long time to calm them down…

Big tough guys I think not lol…

Our little Lulu (White) was the first to leave us yesterday…



LULU CUDDLES HER NEW BIG SISTER (we love the collar and tag!!!)

She has been a complete star this past few weeks…

Always helping with the cleaning up (lol)…

And always first to come for a cuddle or lick and fuss over any pups who were sad or distressed…

I just know her new family absolutely adore her and she’s going to have a fantastic life…

Word reaches us that she already adores their Labrador Stanley and he her – that is really sweet…

We were both a little sad to see her go – but Millie’s Dad in particular was very quiet…

Maz and Lulu have both been his little “angels” (sometimes the “sisters of sin” lol) since they were born…



MAZSOLA OFF TO PASTURES NEW – AND SOON TO BE BI LINGUAL !!!

Mazsola’s family arrived late afternoon and mum and dad were very excited…

Little Lilac seemed delighted to meet them again and even allowed a lot of tummy tickles from her new dad…

Now THAT is a rare honour…

They were always hoping for a mischievous puppy…

And with little Maz they have got that in bucketfuls ha ha…

If Millie’s Dad was quiet when Lulu left – I swear I saw a tear in his eye when his little Mazola left…

I have to admit this past week the two girls have gotten to me too…

Both absolute stunners and everything you would want in a dog…

Smart – pretty – loving – naughty – feisty – they have it in bag fulls…

OK that leaves us with our old mate Max (Blue/Dave)…




DAVE THE ‘DOODLE – HE LIKES BUCKETS AND DRAINS LOL

He kind of eyed us all suspiciously when we opened the puppy gate giving him the run of the downstairs…

He spent a long time sniffing around and playing with his mum…

But it is at my feet he wants to be – and still whimpers when I leave the room…

He’s the strong sensitive type I reckon lol…

As I mentioned earlier we put him back in the puppy room at bedtime…

But he was having none of it…

We have some work to do there I feel lol…

Max leaves us on Friday (his family are on honeymoon in the US)…

I shall be extremely sorry to see him go – we have a real natural bond going on…

Until then whilst I’m at work Millie’s Dad will have the hound dog howls ha ha…

Life is very very different with just three…

Quieter far less poop and piddle and dare I say a little boring lol…

That’s not to say the last three puppies are boring – far from it lol…

The three in question – Lulu – Max (aka “Dave”) and of course Mazola…

Are enough for anyone to handle – real characters lol – you gotta feel sorry for our Max…

Outnumbered by two of the strongest willed little girl pups you’d ever meet lol…



MAX CAN’T GET THE PIGS EAR OFF THE GIRLS !!!

Their routines haven’t changed much but oh boy are they growing fast !!!

Far more independent far more inquisitive and totally ready for one on one training…

All went to the vet for health checks and their first injections…

Most didn’t like the crate in the car at all !!!

The vet was very pleased with their health and all were well behaved…

Except of course little Mazsola – she really did growl ha ha…

I’m pleased to say none showed any ill after effects…

I know they’re ours but they truly are amazing little dogs…

So very well mannered little pups – always clean to newspaper and extremely gentle with kids…



16 MONTH OLD OSCAR HELPS FEED MAZSOLA THE GOLDENDOODLE PUPPY

So to this weekend and what a mixture of happiness sadness relief (lol) and pleasure…

To see everyone so happy and extremely excited to collect their puppies was fantastic…

It all began on Friday with out little Lilly (aka Yellow) leaving for Wales…



LILLY WAS SO VERY PLEASED TO SEE HER NEW MUM AGAIN

As soon as her mum arrived in the garden and as if by magic Lilly jumped all over her…

Talk about being pleased – she was truly ecstatic lol…

Lots of licks wriggles and of course tail wagging !!!

The news from Wales is Lilly has settled in amazingly well and adores pigs ears !!!



DIGBY THE GOLDENDOODLE PUPPY SURPRISINGLY SWEET THAT DAY (LOL)


Digby was up next and his mum and dad had hardly been able to contain themselves all week…

Being the Alpha Male Digby surprised us all by being a proper little puppy…

He wriggled licked and cuddled like his life depended on it lol…

It truly was a pleasure to see him so pleased with his new family…

And the word is Digby is asserting himself a little but otherwise behaving very well…

He’s got intense training and the “snip” in his future plans lol…

Having only 7 overnight didn’t make much of a difference…

Though of course we totally missed Lilly’s antics and Digby’s smouldering presence…

Millie spent a few minutes whimpering and looking in particular for Lilly (they played a lot together)…

But she was fine really and received extra fuss and love that night…

MUM KEEPING A FIRM HOLD ON MURPHY’S HUMPING HIPS HA HA!

Saturday dawned and rain was in the air – the magnificent 7 doodle pups got very wet and muddy…

Murphy was next to go and the whole family arrived early…

They really had been a state of excitement for weeks…

We’re pretty sure they were camped in the car around the corner this last few days…

Had they have had to wait another day I reckon they’d have burst lol…

Murphy was amazing and played with the kids and loved his new mum and dad…

He’s a gorgeous solid little dog who is going to be loved so very much…

News reaches me that “Shabba Mr Lover Lover Man” is up to his old tricks…

He really will hump anything with or without a pulse that boy…

He’s a real ‘Doodle Stud Muffin – sounds like a good life…

“Bring me that cute poodle washed – I’ll be half an hour…”



MOLLY SNUGGLES UP TO HER WONDERFUL NEW MUM AND DAD (scratches on arm are courtesy of Dave lol)


Our special little Princess Molly was next to leave the nest…

And a quick wash was in order as she’d said goodbye to her special hole in the garden…

Yeah it had been raining and white Molly was a dirty brown Molly lol…

But mum and dad didn’t care they just wanted to take her home…

Friends (even tough guys) and family were eagerly waiting to meet her (she’d like that lol)…

However they were soon distracted by the remaining pups and stayed awhile to play !!!

The news reaches us that our little princess has settled in superbly and is loving her new life !!!

Down to four and we decided to bring out a special treat…

Four little pigs ears for them to chew on…

Holy crap – they absolutely adored them and much fun was had by all lol…



CUTE LITTLE PUP TILLY AND HER LOVELY NEW MUM

Our little Tilly was the last of the weekend puppies to fly the coop…

She has been an absolute joy to watch grow up and develop…

By far the smallest but by far the biggest heart – she was a little tired on Sunday…

She really had packed a lot of fun and fuss into the previous three days lol…

Her new mum and dad had brought almost every conceivable piece of puppy paraphernalia !!!

Tilly was just delighted to be going home to such a lovely family…

She has a great life in front of her with a really big extended family…

That evening as we let Mazsola Max and Lulu out to play it really hit us hard…

All our little Goldendoodle pups grown up and leaving home…

Millie was quiet and more than a little sad…

But “Mad Maz” soon got her out of her quiet mood by jumping all over her until Millie had to play !!!

Millie has taken the loss of her pups extremely well…

On Monday she went for a doggie spa day and had a lovely time at HANDSOME HOUNDS…

Millie has bubble bath pedicure cut and blow dry !!!

We think she looks absolutely stunning and truly deserved the treat…



MILLIE THE GOLDENDOODLE BACK FROM THE GROOMERS

We’re off for a mad Midlands Doodle Meet tomorrow night…

Millie will get to see her bestest mate in the whole world Biddy (and Lynn lol)…

If she knew she’d been unable to contain herself lol…

Millie truly deserves the best of times – she’s been through a hell of a lot…

We can’t wait to take her for a much needed break in September…

AND with the prospect of meeting up with Murphy and his family – should be brilliant !!!

I know the families of the last three Goldendoodle puppies are equally excited as everyone else has been…

Mazsola and Lulu leave us this Friday with Max (“Dave”) staying an extra week…



MAX THE GOLDENDOODLE I LOVE HIM TO PIECES !!!

He’s become my very special little boy – he even howls like a wolf when I leave him…

Funny but Millie’s Dad is none to impressed lol…

I know I’m going to be upset when he leaves – not just because I adore him…

But more because he’ll be the last…

We had considered Millie having another litter in a couple of years time…

But her proneness to mastitis and the fact we could’ve lost her says a definite NO !!!

We shall have her spayed in the very near future and maybe – just maybe get another ‘doodle down the line..?

That’s something we shall be considering as we have decided when the time is right to hit the country !!!

OK I’m blabbering on now to avoid thinking to hard about missing the pups lol…

Phew what a journey – what an experience – what an incredible time this has been…

I sometimes sit back and think bloody hell did we really do all that…

I’m so proud to see Millie’s puppies doing her proud…

By all accounts they really are little ladies and gentlemen…

What more could anyone want..?

OK the blog has been going long before the puppies came along so don’t be strangers !!!

There will be plenty more tales from Millie and her babies…

And we still have three here lol…

5 AM TODAY THE PUPS WANNA PLAY !!!

5 MINUTES EARLIER SLEEPY LITTLE PUPPIES READY FOR THE DAY

(sorry for the delay in posting – madness here lol)

IT REALLY is the last full day with the whole litter of Goldendoodle puppies…

I said yesterday the time has flown by – it really truly has…

I’ve been awake since 3am listening out for them kind of hoping they’d wake early lol…

But no – they’re sleeping soundly and have been since 8 pm last night – good kids ha ha…

OK I shall be writing this on and off this morning – and hopefully adding some nice photos too…

So as promised – and the girls first – I present Millie’s Goldendoodle Puppies…

TILLY – aka Pink – Pinky – Tiz




We call her the Doodle Dynamo lol…

She’s the smallest but one of the toughest…

She grabs life and runs with it at high speed…

Everything is exciting and a challenge…

She was the first to take to solid food…

As cute as she’s nutty Tilly is first one folks pick up and fuss…

She’s always the first to trot over to say hello…

She’s fearless and never backs down in a squabble…

She absolute loves Lilly – those two are inseparable…

And together they kick some ass lol…

The “Scouse Mouse” might be tiny…

But she has bags of heart and spirit…

Bloody gorgeous…

If Tilly Could Speak: “It’s amaaaaazing!!!”

Lilo Lil’ as she’s been affectionately named…

Those old enough to remember the TV show Bread will get it lol…

“She is a TART!” was the cry ha ha…

And our little Lilly just loves cuddles kisses and love…

She absolutely seems to spend 50% of her time on her back !!!

Always helping to clean the boys bits – she’s also a little madam…

If there’s trouble Lilly will be in the midst of things…alongside her best mate Tilly – what a pair !!!

This last couple of days she’s begun to assert herself somewhat…

The bigger pups are quite startled by her growls and yaps lol…

Millie has a tough time with her as she never keeps still !!!

She will race outside whilst being cleaned with Millie hot on her heels…

Lilly will then squeeze under something and yap at her mum…

It drives Millie mental ha ha…

I absolutely adore her coat – making her look like a sleek marmalade tabby cat…

A petite stunner she’s going to be a very very pretty dog…

Began life as a quiet little pup who’s eyes used to bore into you…

Almost as if everything was your fault lol…

With her oversized white collar we called her the Little Vicar…

These days we seem to call her “Hey StoppIit” !!!

She really is a proper little puppy – fluffy pretty and plump…

Don’t be fooled she’s a feisty little soul…

The shouts coming from the puppy room are hilarious…

It usually means Lulu has…

…ran off with the newspaper – sat in the water bowl – grabbed the kitchen roll OR…

Attacked the mop !!!

You cannot clean in her presence she just wants to help !!!

I’ve lost count of the amount of times we’ve chased her down the garden to get a cloth back…

Even the hoover holds no fear – most pups scatter she rushes it !!!

Despite that streak of mischief she’s a very loving puppy…

Always there or there abouts when it’s cuddle time…

She’s going to make a very solid beautiful Goldendoodle – a bombproof beauty…

Molly – aka Red – Princess and Molly Malone




Within days she stood out as a true beauty…

As she grew older she was also the most aloof…

Always slightly away from the litter she was the obvious litter leader…

It was a real privilege when she came for some fuss…

As she’s developed her initial standoffish behaviour has gone…

She’s a true fusspot and absolutely adores being fussed and cuddled…

She’s up there as one of the most affectionate of the litter…

However she certainly can and does (often) assert herself…

Everyone who meets her say how beautiful she is and boy doesn’t she know it…

We call her the Princess – and she seems to get that ha ha…

However there’s a real tomboy streak to her…

This little girl just loves to dig – protect your lawns (and putting greens lol) !!!

First into the mud – first into the fights and the first to truly bark…

And her latest trick is to clack her teeth together as a warning to the other pups…

It totally freaks them out !!!

I really can’t wait to see her grow up – she’s going to be breathtaking…

Cookie – Purple – Purps – Cooks and Baby Girl



Nearly an identical twin sister of Molly…

Almost pure white and extremely attractive with a silky shiny coat…

She’s a little heartbreaker…

Cookie is the baby girl of the bunch…

The first to cry for her mommy and the first to cry when things are not to her liking…

HOWEVER…

As the weeks has passed her confidence has grown…

She is now an absolute little star and we adore her…

The first to bed and the last one awake she is deceptively big and strong…

On your lap she gives you the doleful big eyes nibbles gently and licks nicely…

Before closing her jaws in a vice like grip and grinding down HARD !!!

Many of the pups have tasted Cookie’s teeth lol…

She takes no nonsense from anyone but absolutely loves to be fussed…

She was tough to train to newspaper until we realised she prefers broadsheets !!!

She’s a little charmer who is the perfect puppy in the window dog…

The kind of puppy artists draw in children’s books…

She’s gorgeous cheeky a tad sensitive at times but absolutely full of love and fun…

A real Goldendoodle beauty in the making…

Mazsola – aka Lilac – Liley – Lilac Whine and Mad Maz




Regular readers will know Lilac intimately ha ha…

Oh boy did she cause mayhem in the whelping box !!!

And nope things haven’t changed lol…

Her name is Hungarian for Little Raisin – read that as little raising hell !!!

OK I’m teasing – but she’s by far the feistiest of the girls…

100% no nonsense I’m in charge or else tomboy with mischief as her middle name !!!

The epitomy of an F1B Goldendoodle she is going to have an amazing coat…

At the moment she may look like she has a permanent frown lol…

Far from it – in full flight and when the camera’s off her lol – she’s absolutely gorgeous and very very pretty…

She totally terrorizes Millie who absolutely adores her…

Those two always seem to be in the bed play fighting (with Maz winning lol)…

Otherwise she’s Speedy Gonzales tearing around the garden leaping on others backs !!!

It’s either 1000mph or complete stop with “Maz”…

But – and get this – she’s a real cuddly little puppy when the mood takes her…

I know a certain someone who has a real soft spot for her and she for him

She’s one I can barely wait to see all grown up – a real A Typical Goldendoodle…

Murphy – aka Aqua – Flash and Smurf




About as cool and laid back as you can get apart from Max lol…

Nicknamed Flash – as in that gorgeous white streak on his head…

Certainly not for any speed he may show lol…

Sure he trots – rarely runs unless the goats milk is being poured…

Boy can that little lad run then !!!

He really is an absolutely gorgeous little dog…

Full of fluffy loves kisses and cuddles…

With more than an ounce of mischief and fun…

To my knowledge he’s never snapped or snarled – but he sure can yap !!!

He’ll grumble and let you know if you’re ignoring him…

Happy to play on his own with a ball – he’s shown amazing ball skills lol…

Saying that he was also the first one to “hump…”

At three weeks old one wonders if that’s a record ha ha…

To date he has humped pretty much everything including a plastic plant pot lol…

(well it was pink so I guess that’s OK ha ha)…

He is a gentle little soul and like nothing better than having his ears rubbed as he falls asleep…

He’s one that will be sorely missed – a real little treasure who will make his new family very happy…

Max – Blue aka Bluey and Dave



For some reason Millie’s Dad calls him Dave and it has stuck lol…

He is the real surfer beach boy of the litter…

Laid back – lush and horizontal in the land of nod for 75% of the time lol…

There’s slow – lethargy and then there’s laid back love bunny Max…

If there’s any trouble he will seek you out for support…

Doesn’t like getting involved unless he really has to does our Max…

He is simply gorgeous and 100% totally huggable…

So gentle so kind and so full of love he’s on my lap the most…

He’s also the only one that really cries when we leave the room – aaah bless…

Saying that he can have his moments and yesterday he really kicked off…

Most of the rougher pups scattered as Max roared…

He’s going to be a true gentle giant of a dog…

I think he actually quite liked that as it meant he could sleep undisturbed ha ha…

He can and does sleep absolutely anywhere…

Not even the rattle of the milk bowl can rouse him lol…

I shall miss this little lad deeply – but hey I have him for two more weeks woohoo !!!

Digby – Orange aka Orange-U-Tang and Diggers



Last but certainly not least is our old mate Digby…

Hey I apologize now for the bad press I gave the boy lol…

Readers will know all to well he was one noisy little puppy in his “younger days” lol…

He made a racket sounding like a constipated orang-outang with a red hot chilli up his bum !!!

Seriously high on the decibel level and annoying on the ears ha ha…

The fantastic news – for us and his new family is – he hasn’t done that for weeks !!!

In fact he was up until a couple of days ago the coolest little dood of the litter…

Rarely in trouble – rarely squabbling – rarely mixing…

He just did his doodle thing – ate – busy busy and sleep…

It was a rare honour for Diggers to wander over to say hello even more for him to stay on your lap lol…

He’d like to grab a hide chew and crash out at his fave spot in the garden and chill…

On Monday however he decided that Millie’s dad was his mate and no one else was allowed a look in…

This of course led to much kerfuffle in the doodle litter but none of them had faced an angry emotional Digby before…

Holy crap did he put the litter firmly in its place !!!

Over the last three days he has gone from the strong silent type to undisputed pack leader – well Mazsola keeps trying lol…

He’s going to be a very strong dog and will need that energy channelling – I hate to say it but maybe neutered too…

He’s not nasty at all – but he is showing the signs of being a future pack leader and is ultra smart if you catch my drift

He is a stunning boy who is going to be a complete bear of a Goldendoodle – can’t wait to see him grow…

If Digby Could Speak: “I’m the Godfather capiche..?”

Voted Puppy Most Likely To: Win the smartest dog competition he already tries to turn on the outdoor tap lol…

And there you have them all nine of the Goldendoodle puppies…

I’ve been as honest as I can be – and in all honesty there’s really nothing to hide…

They are all absolutely stunning bomb proof family ready little darlings…

They are eager to learn in desperate need on one to one training…

And to be given as much love as you can all muster…

There will be times when you want to tear your hair out…

And times when your heart will fill with absolute utter joy and love…

Mostly the latter

Goldendoodles are special dogs – funny crazy a little mad but so full of love it’s untrue…

They will fit in with whatever lifestyle you have…

Just remember exercise – discipline and affection…

It looked at times as if we were hard with Millie as a puppy…

But now when people say “what a well behaved dog” we swell with pride…

There’s no magic in bringing up a well grounded well mannered happy puppy…

It’s simply firm fair and consistent…

Your home your rules and they have to fit in with that – not you with them…

Remember Millie’s Dad’s simple adage – “they are dogs…”

I’ll leave it there for today…

Tomorrow’s (Friday) plans have changed a little…

I’m taking them all for their vet check and first injection in the morning…

Then at noon Lilly leaves us and then at 1pm Digby says farewell…

I shall let you know how it all goes tomorrow and probably add a few sites you might like to look at for puppy tips…

But as I shall say in the letters with the pups – we’re no experts but if you need us just call…

Right I’m off to spend more time with the litter – it is after all their last full day together…

THE DOODLE PUPS BEING HOUSE TRAINED – RESPONDING TO THE CRY “BUSY BUSY ~ GET BUSY !!! ”

(Millie eventually shows the reluctant ones how to piddle lol)

IN LESS than 72 hours the first of our Goldendoodle puppies will leave us…

Lilly aka Little Yellow is off to start her new life in Wales with the lovely Katie and family…

As the pup with the most cuddles to offer she will – like all will be – sorely missed…

I cannot believe how quickly the time has passed – though there were moments there when time stood still lol…

By Sunday afternoon we shall be left with 3 little ‘doodles – one week later just one – our Max aka Blue…



THEY’VE BROKEN THROUGH THE BARRICADES ~ ALL HOPE IS LOST FIGHT TO THE DEATH MEN (Max)

To say the little ‘doodles are ready is an understatement…

They have grown and developed so much this past two weeks it’s unbelievable…

They are eager to learn and be taught – but as a pack it is difficult to do a complete job with them…

Millie has now completely stepped up to the plate and is playing a key role in their lives…

Her stitches are out – the vet is extremely pleased with her and she’s back to her old self !!!

Her early nervousness at being back with her litter has gone…

She now takes charge of them individually and as a litter…

If one refuses to lie still whilst being cleaned she charges after then…

Wrestles with them until they roll on their backs in submission…

Any attempts at suckling are met with a growl and if that fails a swipe from her paw lol…

She can now lie down and enjoy cuddles with them without the chaos that used to ensue…

It’s just beautiful to witness…

Although her and Mazsola seem to play fight all day long – Maz is a feisty little puppy !!!



MILLIE PLAYING WITH HER BABY GOLDENDOODLES

We’ve all taken them just about as far as we can as a litter…

Now they need their new mums and dads and families to set the rules and show them right from wrong…

There is of course lots of fun and cuddles with us still – but also an element of discipline…

Millie’s Dad seems to spend all day saying “No…Get Down…Leave It…Put It Down…OFF…” etc etc…

He seems to have perfected the angry growl which calms the pack down…

And when things are really “kicking off” he’s been known to bark very convincingly…

The little pups as one settle – their ears flat and their eyes down…

He then chuckles and calls them “Granddad’s Little Monsters…”

Training one little puppy is hard but NINE !!!

They are not ill mannered or naughty in any way shape or form…

Just very boisterous – eager to experience new things and ahem challenge boundaries lol…




THE GOLDENDOODLE PUPPY ESCAPE COMMITTEE ~ I’LL DIG A TUNNEL YOU BULLDOZE A WAY THROUGH !!!

All perfectly normal all part of a growing puppy – it just needs channelling the proper way…

Greeting visitors for instance can be mayhem – but what can you do..?

People enter the garden gasp – coo and shriek “OOOOOoo PUPPPPPPPIES !!!”

(we do try to say please go into the garden quietly lol)

They respond as a pack and mob the person’s feet nibbling shoes and jumping up scratching exposed legs !!!

Not naughty – just excited – keen – interested – they just need showing the correct way to greet new people…

Chewing is really starting to kick in now and we have had to resort to anti chew spray…

Something we only used once with Millie to great effect lol…

Most of the litter sniffed the spot and backed off…

Mazsola however snarled and barked and waved her paws at the area – tough kid or what !!!

We were either very lucky with Millie or that one taste of the spray worked wonders !!!

These little darlings chew anything and I mean anything they can get their mouths on lol…

No amount of NO’s or scruffs or distractions can stop them moving on to the next item…

The new families will be best advised to keep a close eye on this typical puppy behaviour !!!

Favourite items to chew – houses – walls – plants – wood – lawns – concrete – cardboard – each other – us !!!

Saying that – they will chew anything lying around – except of course puppy chew toys !!!



IN A RARE MOMENT TILLY ACTUALLY CHEWS A PUPPY CHEW TOY !!!

Crocs are good – so too are really really strong hide chews…

We have got through quite a few of those – particularly the huge knotted bones !!!

So our babies are truly ready to fly the nest – to be honest circumstance meant they were ready two weeks ago lol…

We’re sad and happy too – happy they will now get the individual love and attention they deserve…

Sad as we shall miss them all deeply…

I know they’re Millie’s pups and special to us – but they truly are amazing little dogs…

They have put up with a hell of a lot in their short lives…

We have packed in as much love and fun as anyone could muster…

Millie’s Dad asked me last night if ” the kids have had a good early puppy-hood…”

I watched them charging around the garden into everything and having a whale of a time…

And said quite simply “Yes…”



MURPHY LAUNCHES HIMSELF INTO ANOTHER ROUND OF PUPPY PLAY FIGHTS


Well I say charging around the garden – that depends on the weather…

Tuesday morning saw a real downpour…

5am usually means the pups want to burst out into the garden…

However the sights smells sounds and sensations of rain put them off !!!



However with a little gentle coaxing they eventually went outside for “busy busy”…

And on their return we had a litter of very wet little pups !!!

OK I promise I shall have the thumbnail word sketch of each puppy up by tomorrow…

There’s no truth to the rumour it isn’t up yet in case the new families back out !!!

Simply time really – we get maybe an hour in between feeds/play and stuff…

And there’s a lot to do as I’m sure you all understand…

Enjoy the new photos and videos of the Goldendoodle puppies – and gasp at how big they’ve grown…

And then over the weekend 5 more of the pups leave…

Leaving us just three – MAZSOLA – MAX and LULU for a week or so…

I don’t even want to mention how it will make us feel…

Happy of course for the puppies and the new amazing families…

But more than a little sad to see them go – maybe even a little relieved..?

Life will be empty that’s a fact lol…

It’s been an amazing adventure – highs and lows…

But now Millie is well on the road to recovery – far more highs…

She had her stitches out last night and is now almost back to her old self…

There’s a definite spring in her step and she loves time with her babies…

But once they get too much she soon lets us know she wants to hide ha ha…

Come September we plan a week away near the sea for her (and us lol) to relax…

Millie just loves the sea and beach…

Before then we have a mammoth cleaning up task…

It’s amazing the amount of grime and destruction 9 little ‘doodles can make…

It’ll be down the the DIY store and pots of paint and whatever else required…

Millie’s Dad doesn’t even want to think about the garden lol…

His prize plants look like a herd of hungry goats has stomped its way through – and back lol…



LULU FINDS THE LAST LIVING PLANT ~ AND TEARS IT TO PIECES LOL

But my God these pups are little stunners…

Each one has it’s own unique and wonderful character…

I plan to do a little “word sketch” of them next week…

So that should be a fun post – particularly for the families ha ha…

OK I have an extremely sore back and need to sit back for half an hour before the next “onslaught”…

FIRSTLY my apologies for a complete lack of blog posts…

What with nursing Millie the Goldendoodle…

And raising 9 practically orphaned little Goldendoodle puppies…

Things have been you might say a little “busy” lol…

And more than a little chaotic – with a semblance of order – mostly ha ha…

Millie was due at the vets for her operation on Tuesday morning…

Sadly she still had too much milk and this was postponed until Thursday…

This of course means even longer away from her babies…

However she sailed through the operation…

The vet had to make the hole larger in order to join together the wound…

She came home groggy but waggy tailed late evening…

The veterinary nurses really didn’t want her to leave – they adore her lol…

She’s a little woozy now – still on strong painkillers – tablets to dry her milk up and antibiotics…

It will be some time yet before she is well enough to see her puppies…

She still cries when she hears them and is pretty depressed if truth be told…

Time is a great healer and we’re all sad she’s missed so much and been in so much pain and discomfort…

But she really is a great dog – a bloody superstar and we love her dearly…

OK to the little Goldendoodle Puppy tribe – the ‘Doodle puppies are doing extremely well…

We are talking an amazing growth spurt in the last week…

They are now more adventurous – sleep less during the day and play with a lot more energy (lol)…

(those teeth are sharp be warned !!!)

They are absolutely eating us out of house and home at the moment lol…

I seem to be at PETS AT HOME daily…

Pity they didn’t have a loyalty card – I’d be quids in ha ha…

Millie’s Dad says they must be crossed with Donkeys judging by the size of their poo’s lol…

They seem to play fight constantly and the pecking order changes by the minute !!!

Of them all tiny little Pinky – now Tillly – is by far the roughest lol…

She has to be I guess being so tiny compared to the others…

Lulu (White) and little Lilly (Yellow) are not far behind…

Meanwhile the big lads Max and Murphy (Blue and Aqua) are facing “Girl Power” lol…

Our old fave Digby (Orange) has over gone a complete sea change…

We haven’t heard him squawk for an age – but man does he like the girls !!!

He always seems to be snuggling up to Cookie (Purple) and Molly (Red)…

Those two girls are growing into beautiful looking ‘Doodles – Molly is now a little fusspot !!!

Boy does she come running for the cuddles !!!

Mazsola (Lilac) is the most daring – she is fearless !!!

Whatever happens or is introduced into the puppy pad – she’s in first…

She races around the room yapping and crashing into things…

Mostly other ‘Doodles lol…

They really are a fantastic litter of puppies…

And they really have decided we are mom and dad doodle lol…

It’s amazing to see them come running like a little herd of geese circling us until the food is put down…

And I’m very pleased at how sensible they are at meal times…

There’s hardly any squabbling – the odd little accident – but they have very good manners for almost 5 week old pups…

They are still on four meals of puppy kibble (Science Plan) per day – and a few Lactol (milk substitute) breaks…

That still remains the highlight of their day !!!

Feeding times are around midnight (milk) 4am (kibble) 8am (kibble) 11am (milk)…

3pm (kibble) 8pm (milky kibble) with water in between…

Those are approximate times and it does vary lol…

We are in and out of their room regularly clearing up great piles and puddles lol…

So as you can see it’s pretty much round the clock stuff lol…

Hard but about as rewarding as it can get !!!

Our neighbours have been fantastic and the whole street brings us newspapers…

And of course get to cuddle the little ‘doodles – one way to meet the neighbours ha ha…

As the ‘doods have gotten bigger we’ve had them loose in the garden – MADNESS !!!

(the vet said it would be fine in the shade)

Whilst cleaning their room we pop them into the puppy pen on the lawn…

They are not too happy about the pen – and tend to squawk the place down lol…

However once we open the little gate they charge out and chase each other and us around the lawn…

It’s just so cute – and total mayhem – we will video it this weekend I promise…

And I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your kind messages and calls about Millie…

She’s gone through hell bless her heart…

She was an absolutely fantastic mom to those little guys when she was able…

I truly hope we have done her proud…

WOW !!!

What a hectic but wonderful weekend that was !!!

It was “choose your puppy time” – and how difficult you all found it…

However thanks to the blog most of you had your minds made up all ready…

We had a good idea which pups would go to which family…

Maybe there was a couple of surprises – but I hope you are all more than happy !!!

And looking forward to wonderful years ahead with your very own Goldendoodle…

As I’ve said so often – they are incredible dogs…

Funny – smart and faithful as the day is long…

And boy do they stand out in a crowd !!!

Be prepared to be stopped everywhere and asked “he/she’s gorgeous – what is he/she..? ”

When Millie and me go out I set aside an extra half an hour for people lol…

OK before I name the names – I’ll give you a quick update on Millie…

We have had to keep her away from her babies (heartbreaking) due to her open wound…

The vet was able to snip a piece off and the wound is now clean and pink…

We have had to bathe it three or four times per day – Millie has been amazing…

She’s still on the antibiotics and returns to the vet on Tuesday for corrective surgery…

I really don’t know how much more of this our little girl can take…

But like the vet has said – she’s an A1 dog and will surely shine through it all…

Lets hope so…



ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY – MILLIE THE FIRST ‘DOODLE IN SPACE ??!!!??

So to this weekend and what a wonderful weekend it was…

The first families really wanted to be here at the crack of dawn on Saturday…

However we had pressing issues with Millie – so 11am was better lol…

First little girl family arrived and faced a dilemma – was it to be Red or Purple…

However it was little Yellow and Pink who pranced and danced wriggled and woo’ed them lol…

But despite their antics their hearts were drawn towards Red and Purple…

After much debate and heart searching it was indeed Red or should I say MOLLY who was chosen…

I couldn’t have chosen between those two beauties !!!

It was one happy couple who left us thinking all things ‘Doodle…

The next family arrived during first choice and sat outside catching glimpses of their boy through the window…

They had indeed made their minds up totally and had even brought an Aqua coloured lead and collar lol…

It was fantastic to see them meet MURPHY…

“He’s the laid back fat lad I expected…” said mum…

Well yes – he ahem was lol…

This last 24 hours has seen a slight change in our laid back lad…

He’s becoming very assertive and more than a little inquisitive lol…



MURPHY THE PHANTOM BAG SNATCHER


He’s going to be an absolute cracker…

A big gentle cuddly bear of a dog with more than an ounce of cheek !!!

The family who had reserved the second boy couldn’t make it…

But a phone call was greeted with joy as they proudly named Blue pup MAX !!!

That’s my son’s name too lol – and they have the same tinge of hair colour ha ha…

He too is a big boy and in the middle of all the mischief…

That meant the last boy was yeah you guessed it Orange…

I may have given the little chap a bad press (definitely lol) but he is quite bonkers lol…

However he too has changed a little over the past few days…

Sure he’s a noisy ‘dood at the very heart of all the anarchy and mischief…

But boy does he love a real cuddle and tummy tickle lol – big soppy ‘dood really…

I know the dad of the family wanted a big dog – and you got it – just look at his feet !!!

He is going to be one beautiful big Goldendoodle who’s going to the perfect family…

And the bonkers boy’s name..?

What else for the biggest personality of the bunch than DIGBY…

Cool – cute and very very apt…

Anyone remember the film..?



DIGBY THE ‘DOODLE – A QUIET MOMENT (LOL)

That brought Saturday to a close – and our pups were quite exhausted…

Sunday was an all girls day with the first family finding it really hard to choose…

For a long time it looked like Lilac was the choice…

But after heart searching Purple was proudly named COOKIE…

A sweet name for a very sweet little girl…

She really is a stunner and a delightful mix of feisty and cuddly…



COOKIE SOON TO BE THE LADY OF THE MANOR LOL

She really is going to live in the lap of luxury with a wonderful family…

Heated swimming pool anyone lol…

If ever you want a dog sitter we are available ha ha…

And thank you so much for the Orchid and wine…

I shall save the wine for a “quiet night” if we ever get one again lol…

If family number one found the choice hard family number two really did struggle (who can blame them)…

Again Lilac was the first choice with mum and daughter absolutely adoring her…

However little White was always trotting over to them…

And she became really playful making the little girl squeal with delight…

“But I like Pinky too” she said…

“Can we have two” said mum ha ha…

In the end White – or should I now say LULU was the chosen one…



TWO LITTLE CUTIES WHO BONDED IMMEDIATELY

They have a another slightly older dog and said LULU’s fesity-ness was the clincher…

She is going to have such a wonderful home and be a much loved little ‘doodle…

Unbelievably – and how different from Saturday when they all seemed to sleep during the choosing …

On Sunday they were all up and about and being almost boisterous – more like they are at 3am !!!!!!!!!!

So showing no signs of tiredness the remaining three pups waited for the final two visitors…

A family from Wales arrived and absolutely fell head over heels in love with Millie…

Despite her nasty wound Millie was absolutely charming and almost ate the treats they’d bought her lol…

(her appetite is a little jaded at the moment)

Once again Lilac was the immediate choice – however Yellow and Pink “did the girl band act” and stole the show…

After yet more heart rendering decisions it was Yellow who was the chosen one…

And at the time of writing she’s still “YELLOW” lol…

“We’re terrible at names ” said mum ” we have a cat called Boy…”

As soon as we know we’ll post it lol…

They live not very far from our favourite camp site…

So I’m pretty sure we’ll meet up over the coming years…

And so to our last visitors of the day…

By this stage Millie’s dad was in a bit of a grump…

I asked why and he shrugged and said ” No one wants Liley…”

Lilac (Liley to him lol) has been his favourite for an age…

The two of them have a lovely bond – bless him lol…

I didn’t know what to say…



MASOLA THE GOLDENDOODLE FORMERLY KNOWN AS LILAC

Our final family were a lovely couple who came all the way from Liverpool…

They’d had a wonderful Golden Retriever who’d given them years of joy…

They felt after her another Retriever would never quite match up…

But a Goldendoodle sounded perfect…

On hearing that – it was no surprise to us that Pink – or should I say TILLY was chosen…

Of all the puppies she’s definitely the most Goldie…

And the name chosen for her is truly lovely and very special to us…

It’s Millie’s Dad’s maternal grandmothers nickname…

TILLY is going to have an amazing life with a truly kind caring and very loving family…

Before Millie’s dad could say “can we keep her…” I was on the phone to the final reserved girl family…

“You have Lilac” I said – and I was delighted to hear them cheer…

Their children in particular fired off a long list of questions…

And yes she really can run fast especially when it’s dinner time !!!

Even Millie’s Dad was pleased if a little sad he couldn’t keep her…

Funny that given all along he’s said no to keeping one lol…

A little while later they emailed with her name…

“MASOLA” they said – “it’s Hungarian for little raisin…”

What a truly beautiful name for a truly beautiful little Goldendoodle…

Of them all she’s the most “doodly” if there is such a word…

Phew!!!

6 LITTLE GOLDENDOODLES WINDING DOWN AT THE END OF A HARD DAY
the other three were fast asleep !!!

Nine little puppies and nine expectant and I hope happy and proud families…

It’s only four weeks until the big collection day…

And given how this first month has flown by…

I’m pretty sure it will be gone in the blink of an eye…

But these are extremely important times for little puppies…

From 4 weeks old mum would begin socializing them…

Showing them right from wrong and teaching them to be dogs…

With Millie absent it’s up to us to do that…

Daunting and a lot of hard work but we owe it to you and more importantly Millie…

To produce well mannered well balanced little ‘doodles…

I however draw the line at licking their faces and backs whilst on all fours…

“I just want to give them the experience of a mom cleaning them ” says my mad as a hatter partner…

Me I’ll just stick to top and tailing with a warm flannel at the end of their day…

That’s about as cute as it gets…

Umm did I say “end of their day..?”

Silly me – each three or four hours seems to roll into one lol…

It’s rewarding but tough and thanks to those of you saying how “worn out” we looked lol…

A nice way of saying we looked like hell and smelled of puppy piddle poo and formula ha ha…

OK I hear the pitter patter of tiny feet…

I shall no doubt be faced with huge puppy piles and puddles everywhere…
