WooHoo Snow Day!!!

And oh boy does our little girl love the snow!!!

She now stands at the patio window looking expectantly at the sky…

She’s miffed to say the least if there’s not a single flake to be seen…

If there’s snow – as soon as the door’s open she’s out like a blur!!!

Racing around the garden barking her head off!!!

I Love The Snow I Luuuuurve SNOW!!!!

I Mean I Really REALLLY Love it!!!

And a blur is exactly what we mean haha…

There really is something so cute about a doodle in the snow…

Particularly when she enjoys it like Millie does…

Can I Bath In It..? Can I Huh..?

Nope But You Can Take A Snow Shower!!!

That’s not me kicking her I hasten to add…:)

More a little game we HAVE to play…

It involves kicking as much snow as possible at her as she catches it…

Good exercise for my thighs I have to say and little Goldendoodle Millie loves it!!!

I’m Ready For My Christmas Card Close Up Now

On a more serious note – though how’s that possible with a Goldendoodle puppy!!!

Millie has – according to the vet – reached adolescence…

Aaaarrrggh if having a teenage son isn’t bad enough (joking honest)…

Then a puppy..?

Well we haven’t had her teenage health check yet – that’s next week…

But we have certainly noticed a few changes…

Obviously she’s growing fast and filling out…

But she also likes to test our resolve…

Where once she was quick on recall…

Now she thinks about it and eventually rushes towards us…

Before skidding away at the last minute!!!

A little pirouette later and madam eventually sits nicely in front of us…

Frustrating – definitely – but consistency will win through we hope…

She also seems to be sleeping more…

That could be the amount of exercise she gets – very healthy walks and runs…

A Bath Together..? It’s Our First Meeting!!!

It really does feel like we’re losing the puppy and seeing the dog…

Although put a ball in front of her and the pup is back!!!

Fingers crossed we’ve had no serious teething/chewing issues…

But we are not resting on our laurels…

We absolutely adore our Goldendoodle pup…

Can’t imagine life without her if I’m honest…

She’s sassy funny cute mad crazy gentle clever and pretty as hell…

I say it every time but if you’re looking for the perfect family dog…

There can only be one – A GOLDENDOODLE!!!!

FROZEN CORN ON THE COB YUMMY!!!!

The dreaded chewing and teething puppy!!!

Millie is being fantastic and not chewing too many bits of furniture…

Apart from the brand spanking new kitchen bistro chairs that is haha…

We have had to resort to all kinds of wild whacky and wonderful teething toys…

From rope pull toys soaked in stock and then frozen – Millie gives that a 5 out of 10 haha…

Expensive teething toys just sit there ignored – she’d rather eat the wrapper!!!

Teething chews are sniffed and then pushed aside with a look of utter contempt on her face…

So it was with some relief we tried frozen veg…

Carrots (whole) were nibbled nicely then spat out…

The same with apples – pears were at first munched on then ignored – but it was corn on the cob that was the big hit…

Frozen whole and Millie absolutely guzzles them down…

The iciness soothes her gums (so red and sore) and the taste drives her nuts!!!

A highly recommended and healthy teething treat – and it makes the poo interesting :)

MILLIE IS GROWING SO FAST!!!

As she’s starting to grow so is her world…

Though saying that the house has been in turmoil as workmen trapse in and out of the place…

Meaning we have been relegated to the kitchen – which wont be fitted until after Christmas…

Millie has taken all this in her stride and quite likes the men stopping work to fuss her to pieces!!!

Our walks have become far more adventurous with long free runs over the beautiful Comyn…

NO WORRIES MUM I KNOW THE WAY FROM HERE!!!

Millie simply adore the Comyn…

So many smells so many places to roll in the mud…

And of course tons of other dogs of all ages and sizes to play with…

The rumour that all Goldendoodles love water seems a little odd with our Millie…

She has been known to walk around puddles – but is also quite happy to paddle like a lady…

THAT’S THE BIGGEST BATH I’VE EVER SEEN!!!

MAYBE I’LL GET A LITTLE BIT WET…IF THAT’S OK MUM

Judging from our last trip to the river she’s only a few days away from jumping in!!!

It really is a a joy to see after our big long walks…

What was once a little ginger tinged bundle of white fluff…

Resembles a proper muddy mucky pup!!!

The ritual of the warm towel down the two hour sleep and then warm bath is an absolute pleasure…

All in all and given all our little Goldendoodle has had to put up with in her short life…

She’s an absolute little dream of a dog…

We love her to absolute pieces…

She’s funny – sweet – clever and has such a fun loving character…

Anyone looking for the perfect family dog…

Could do no worse than a Goldendoodle…

But then we are a little biased!!!

Speak Up! I Have A Leaf For An Ear…

The vets are stumped and so are we…

It seems overnight Millie the Goldendoodle puppy…

Has grown a leaf for her left ear!!!

Only joking – but what a super photo that is – haha the pose leaves (ouch) a bit to desire…

She’s such a hussy – can’t imagine where she gets it from…

Okay onto the matter of Millie’s first week of walks…

She has been absolutely fantastic…

Sure there’s been the odd noise – particularly from buses…

And she’s jumped – shivered and tried to wrap herself around our legs…

We’ve resisted too much fuss and simply gently led her past any problems…

The first free run was absolutely amazing…

The training we have done with her on recall has been well worth it…

It’s a sheer delight to see this white bullet come tearing across the field at the call of her name…

I’ll Only Come Back If You Have Treats!!!

I Dunno Whether To Drink It Or Bath In It

She’s a little unsure of the water at this point…

I hasten to point out it barely comes to her knees!!!

She kind of sniffs at it splashes a bit then runs away!!!

As for puddles far from splashing into them – Millie tends to skirt around them…

The look of disdain on her face at other dogs paddling is funny…

I hope she loses this and becomes a bit more tomboyish – one lady in the house is enough haha…

However water does of course have dangers…

Especially crocs and that’s where little Millie comes into her own…

If there’s a croc about this little hunter will find it…

Drag it to her lair and munch on it happily for an age…

Crocodile Dundee..? Naw Croc Hunter Millie!!!

I’m Sorry For Whatever I’m Supposed to have Done…

She’s now three months old and growing so very fast…

It only seems like yesterday we brought this tiny scared bundle of fluff home…

She has her mad moments and of course the garden looks like a bombsite with doggy craters everywhere…

But we wouldn’t swap her for the world…

She’s bright as a button funny cheeky and very very loving…

Anyone looking for a puppy will do no better than a Goldendoodle…

Stay tuned – you just never know what Millie the Goldendoodle puppy will get up to next!!!

There’s No Business Like Snow Business

The Sky’s Falling!!!

The first snows of the winter…

And little Millie the Goldendoodle loved it!!!

With just a little bit of hesitation I have to say…

But pretty soon she was jumping up trying to catch every single snowflake!!!

And she actually got a little upset when we called her in…

Not a lot of snow for some of you…

But here in England it was a real novelty…

It’s So Cold Even My Eyes Are Blue!!!

Do I HAVE To Come In???!!!

Millie has grown so much the fight play has become a little bit of an issue…

And we’ve certainly had to calm her down a little as she can get quite mouthy – as in biting…

The vet and searches online have shown us the way to act with this biting…

It seems to work except just before her bedtime…

When like a grumpy toddler she gets over excited and extremely boistrous…

We fold our arms as instructed and completely ignore her…

Sometimes it works – but mostly she jumps and bites harder…

It’s obviously play and fun to her – but those teeth are like needles!!!

Persistent and consistent is the order of the day…

BIG NEWS!!!

Millie had her first walk a couple of days ago!!!

I’ll pop some photos up later…

But I have to say the lead training prior to the big day paid off…

She was very well behaved…

However she is absolutely terrified of cars – puschairs and cycles!!!

We are taking it slowly and not fussing her too much when a car goes by…

After all it’s a big scary world out there…

5 minutes into the first walk she came face to face with two of the biggest Golden Retrievers!!!

She immediately sought refuge in my arms but was quickly introduced to them…

They were a young dopey crazy pair of boys…

Who sniffed headbutted and generally roughed her up a bit…

Far from her initial reaction Millie soon began jumping on them and yapping!!!

She’s made her first mates and now reacts with glee at the sight of her bright red lead…

We just got back from our morning stroll…

She met her mates but is still petrified of cars…

I hope this doesn’t last much longer as tough love is something I’m not so good at!!!

Millie Digs The Garden

Me Dirty..? Naw…

So little Goldendoodle puppy Millie digs our new house – LITERALLY!!!

What a fantastic little pup she’s been amidst all the chaos of the house move …

She’s handled it like a little star but got a little upset when she saw the removal guys…

They were absolutely HUGE and to a little Goldendoodle puppy it was a long way to go for a cuddle!!!

As you can see the new larger garden certainly meets to her approval…

The previous owners had emptied all their garden pots into the flower beds…

As so as Mille was let outside to “busy busy” she made a beeline for the manure…

And dived head first into it – we were laughing too much to tell her off…

And the look on her face afterwards – as you can see – was pure comedy!!!

Goldendoodles Find Flowers Delicious

Speaking of gardens – we think we have some work to do with her if our garden will survive…

She gambols outside sniffs the air and studies each bud as we would a menu…

Before chomping as fast as she can on the late Autumns blooms…

NOT GOOD!!! But it sure makes for great photos!!!

However the after effects – as in windy gas – sure makes the evenings aromatic…

And we can certainly see little Goldendoodle puppy Millie is getting bolder as she grows…

Now the stairs have become one of her favourite places for “adventures…”

Going up is pretty easy as she skips quite happily…

Hits the landing then sits patiently outside my youngest son’s room…

However if there’s only myself and Millie in the house she tends to “sneak” up there…

I spot her mid flight and call her back – normally superb on recall – the stairs is a different matter…

She eyes me with an aloof haughty look as if to say “ok mum what ya gonna do about it…”

After two or three “Millie come…” she tends to bark yap and tail wag…

It takes a lot of self control not to laugh…

Coming down worries me but not her!!!

With her cute little ass up in the air and her nose to the stairs she bounds down…

Worrying for me but fun for her – reminder to me another stairgate to be bought!!!

Gardening Exploring House Moves and Vets Are Exhausting

Yesterday was Millie’s second trip to the vets…

We couldn’t wait to weigh her after the vets concern at her arrival weight…

The little porker has almost doubled her weight!!!

Phew were we worried and half expected the vet to say she was overweight!!!

She absolutely adores the vet probably more for the treats she give her – but that is great news!!!

One week to go before our Goldendoodle pup Millie can brave the outside world…

I guess it’s time we began the lead training in earnest…

Somehow I think this is gonna be fun!!!

Well what a week that was…

What an absolutely fantastic week with little Millie…

We’ve never known such a bright as a button puppy in our life…

Goldendoodles sure are smart little guys…

The house training is a complete breeze…

One accident and that was our fault (long story!)…

The cry of “busy! busy!” is all our little lady needs…

She rushes to the door – finds her favourite spot and bingo!

The week has passed so very quickly and she’s such a part of our lives…

We kind of wonder what we ever did before Millie the Goldendoodle arrived…

The safe backgarden is her haunt…

And with the recent lovely late Autumnal weather – she’s in her element…

We read somewhere that Goldendoodles adore digging…

My goodness this little lady can dig for Britain! Australia here we come haha!

We think when we move to the new house a sandpit of some sort is in order…

We would like to save a bit of the garden for us mere humans…

MILLIE DIGS THE GARDEN LITERALLY!!!

She has also had her first ever trip to the vet…

We were a little concerned as new parents always are around these things…

This little bombproof madam took it all in her tiny stride…

Prodded and poked – weighed and measured…

Nothing seemed to phase her – not even the jab or chip being shot in!!!

If anything she was more interested in the treats the vet had for her…

Looks like we might have to change her food pretty soon!

As we left and made to drive away I spotted a full grown Goldendoodle!

Talk about coincidence!

The owner was delighted to meet us and the big boy in question stuck his head through the car window…

Millie wriggled wagged and yapped!!!

Not long until she’s that big…

But for now she’s our darling baby girl…

She’s funny cute feisty and clever as hell…

As the vet said – “I think you’re going to have to find things for this girl to do…

…she’s very very smart…”

Anyone looking for the perfect dog could do no worse than a Goldendoodle!!!
