GOLDENDOODLE PUPPY OR MEERKAT HA HA
JUDGING from the number of emails I received yesterday…
I’ve managed to turn you all into ‘doodle puppy photo addicts !!!
Trust me I really do know that feeling – I need my daily fix too !!!
KATE ~ MILLIE AND THE GORGEOUS GOLDENDOODLE PUPPIES
My apologies for not making a daily post…
It was frantic here yesterday – the puppies and Millie are more than fine – more to do with me…
I have a big family wedding in Scotland over the weekend…Congrats Leanne !!!
And a girl needs to look her best – so it was hairdresser and beauty salon for me !!!
Boy did I need it after 12 days of the puppy ‘doodle invasion haha…
I tried to coax Millie into the shower – but she was having none of it…
After giving birth and caring for 9 ‘doodles she really does need it…if you catch my drift lol…
But she refused and I didn’t want to stress her…
Millie’s dad is staying behind to look after them so in between football they’ll be well looked after lol…
“WHITEY” SUCKLES ON MILLIE’S DADS BOTTOM LIP HA HA!!!
With Millie spending more time out of the doodle pup “nest”…
I decided to buy a pile of cuddly toys to give them other things to snuggle up to…
I was thrilled to see them wake and start sniffing and investigating the new members of their nest !!!
They have taken to them immediately – especially Millie’s cuddly fish which they all love to cuddle up too…
GOLDENDOODLE PUPPIES AND SOFT CUDDLY TOYS
Millie however had other ideas…
Once she woke from her afternoon nap she climbed into the whelping box…
It was a classic double take as she saw her litter had “doubled”…
The look on her face was one of confusion and then joy as she saw they were toys…
Millie has always been a great organiser of her toys – each one has a special place in the house…
(we have found her toys in all sorts of strange places – we move them she puts them back)
So once she had fed her pups – each toy was taken out of the box and deposited in her special places…
We need her to play with them so the pups get her scent…
I’m pleased to say she has now let the toys stay and the puppies love them…
“PATCH” CUDDLES UP TO THE CUDDLY TOYS
Each pup will of course be taking one with them when they leave…
Which gave me an idea lol…
When Millie arrived with us at just 8 weeks old she too brought a toy with her…
It was full of the smell of Bess her lovely Golden Retriever mum…
To this day it’s Millie’s special toy and is always near by…
So here’s three photos of Millie – the first when she was born…
The second when she arrived in our home with her special cuddly toy…
And Millie now with that same toy – oh boy has she grown !!!

COOL VIDEO EFFECTS HA HA
MY apologies if you were expecting individual close ups of the pups today…
Time I’m afraid has been against me – I shall get onto it later today I promise…
And the new batch of coloured collars has arrived – so they’ll look all smart for their close ups !!!
The fantastic news is a few of the puppies have their eyes partly open !!!
It’s usually between 8 to 12 days – so they are well on course…
They are all gaining weight at an amazing rate…
SLEEPY DOODLE PUPPIES IN THE SUNSHINE
To give Millie a bit of a break last night – and after cleaning her nipples which are much better…
We brought her beloved bed into the lounge…
She was over the moon and rolled over in it like a frisky puppy…
We then brought two pups at a time to her…
Without the chaos of the nest she was able to give each special attention…
They all had a fantastic feed and very thorough top and tail…
Their squawks and squeaks were a delight as Millie washed them all over…
OK I have to dash and I promise I shall have the close ups tomorrow…

AS you can see and hear (lol) from the video…
The “DOODS” have not only found their collective voices…
But have also began to take those first real steps!!!
Given the World Cup is on constantly in our house…
At least the little doods squawks and squeaks drowns out that awful vuvuzela buzz lol…
As for taking their first real steps – it can be a tiring business…
MOTHER AND DAUGHTER SHARE A TRULY TENDER MOMENT
Purple was the first little Goldendoodle puppy to try to stand…
After all she was also the first to scream for her mum (boy she has a voice ha ha)…
And that has enabled her to get the “drop” on the others when it comes to feeding…
As you can see as soon as Millie arrives in the nest – they go berserk…
As the day wore on they all began standing – to varying degrees of success !!!
This morning they were all absolutely worn out with the exercise and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast with mom…
We have of course being weighed the little ‘doodles daily…
And once again I’m delighted to sat they are all thriving – and couldn’t be in better health…
Last week for instance when we changed their bedding we were using a tiny basket…
Yesterday my partner had to use a full sized laundry basket to fit them all in !!!
A BASKETFUL OF DOODLE PUPPIES !!!
Millie had another check up at the vet yesterday…
Being a former nurse I noticed her swollen nipple was looking a little sore…
The swelling had gone down considerably – but the skin around it was tender and red…
It was probably caused by tiny little doodle feet – the vet took a look and gave her the all clear…
However she has been given more antibiotics to keep it under control…
She shows no sign of discomfort and the pups have done her proud clearing it out !!!
OK a little later today we shall be taking individual portrait photographs of the Goldendoodle pups…
And we shall post them tomorrow so you can all get a clearer look at the little darlings…

Her daddy is also working on – of all things – a Facebook application !!!
My partner got the idea after the photo of Millie the Goldendoodle in her England flag was tagged on Facebook…
Quite a few people are using that photo – some even as their profile photo…
MILLIE WEARING THE ENGLAND WORLD CUP FLAG ON FACEBOOK
The photo has appeared on the official English FA page and Carlsberg for England !!!
And best news of all the OFFICIAL FA BACK THE BID 2018 (the World Cup In England) want the original photo !!!
We’re all pleased but Millie’s dad is ecstatic – he says she really is the World Cup Goldendoodle haha…
He thinks we should get Millie and agent – good Lord what next !!!

ONE WEEK OLD AND GROWING FAST – MILLIE’S LITTLER OF GOLDENDOODLE PUPS
I CAN hardly believe it’s been a whole week since Millie gave birth…
My how time flies when your house is full of baby doodles !!!
All have almost doubled their body weight with a couple a little more than that…
I am thrilled with their progress and Millie is enjoying a little more time away from the nest…
She’s positioning herself in an alcove in the lounge – she can see them and responds immediately if needed…
MILLIE CATCHING UP ON HER SLEEP – THE YELLOW YOU SEE IS “NIPPLE CREAM” LOL
Bless her she’s always been a sleepy dog…
But for the first 5 days I think she managed the odd cat nap – with one undisturbed 3/4 of an hour !!!
She’s next to me now snoring the sleep only us new moms know ha ha…
Come to that so are the puppies – 10% of the time feeding 90% sleeping…
SLEEPY CUTE GOLDENDOODLE PUPPIES
I had to work all day yesterday and my partner took over the care…
Oh boy did I miss the little pups and of course Millie…
It’s truly amazing how quickly you bond with the litter…
They are adorable and as I said yesterday their personalities are beginning to shine through…
It seems that yesterday they all found their voices – and at times the noise was deafening lol…
It was also very chilly here and on my return the house was as warm as toast…
Not only that but the puppies were snuggled up to a child safe hot water bottle wrapped in a blanket…
The hot water bottle cover is covered in Millie’s smell and hair…
I’m pretty sure that gives the little doods much comfort…
On my return Millie woke them up and the noise was amazing – it can only get louder as they grow ha ha…
However for the little yellow pup (as in collar lol) – it was far to snug to move…
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzz SNUG AND WARM ON A HOT WATER BOTTLE
OK I have to shoot off to work…
I have a phone full of photos and movies for the staff to see…
They are all doing amazingly well – and Millie’s sore nipples are much better…
Again thanks for all your messages I truly love to hear from you…

A HAPPY update !!!
After all the drama of mastitis I’m glad to say all is back to normal…
Well as normal as things can be with these little Goldendoodle puppies lol…
I took Millie back to the vets on Sunday morning…
We were pretty sure she was on the mend…
In fact the vet was extremely pleased with her…
The antibiotics and the suckling pups have almost brought the swelling in her nipple down…
She’s a lot more comfortable and nursing her puppies extremely well…
The vet was impressed too…
“I’m very taken with this dog…she has a wonderful nature…”
High praise indeed and I’m sure her puppies will have lovely characters too…
SEPARATED AT BIRTH Ha Ha..?
Not much else to report really…
Apart from them all getting fresh paper collars on Sunday afternoon…
They have all put so much weight on I am running out of collars ha ha…
I maybe have enough for one more change – note to me order some more…
It’s lovely to see their characters coming out even at this early stage…
Purple collar for instance is a little bossy madam…
Boy does she assert herself…
My partner is quite taken with her – except at 3 am when she squawks – loudly – for attention ha ha…
The little pink girl was the smallest and we have kept an eye on her feeding…
I’m happy to say not only has she gained a load of weight this weekend…
She’s also getting the hang of pushing the bigger pups out of the way lol…

THE PROUD MUM AND HER LITTER OF CUTE GOLDENDOODLE PUPPIES
POOR little Millie the Goldendoodle has a nasty case of mastitis…
It all happened so quickly…
One minute she was feeding happily and the next she became quite poorly…
She had a high temperature and became very “spacey…”
She simply couldn’t lie down – but still allowed the puppies to feed by sitting upright…
A quick examination showed one of her teats was swollen and inflamed…
Luckily the pups had fed well – were sleeping soundly and we rushed Millie to the vets…
He was fantastic and agreed it was indeed mastitis…
He gave her two injections (both safe for the puppy milk) – antibiotic and a pain killer…
Within minutes Millie was much happier…
Infact she pulled us out of the surgery to the car – such was her haste to get home !!!
CHECKING MILLIE IS NOT IN TOO MUCH DISCOMFORT WHILST NURSING HER PUPPIES
On her return she immediately checked on the babies…
Before lying down gingerly and falling asleep for a good 3/4 of an hour…
It was the longest sleep she’s had since the puppies were born…
Once awake I checked her sore teat again and gently massaged it with olive oil…
In fact I gave all of her nipples a good gentle clean…
Millie seemed to really enjoy the close attention and lay happily on her back…
The swelling had gone down considerably and Millie was more than happy to return to her whelping box…
The puppies on the other hand seemed none to concerned at mums return !!!
They had all curled up together and were all snoring in a deep contended full belly sleep…
Millie was a little miffed and eventually began licking and nosing them to wake.,..
It was a great relief to us all that the puppies immediately “latched on” and fed happily…
The vet had recommended we allowed the pups to suckle the swollen teat…
This would both gauge Millie’s pain level – and of course help bring down the inflammation…
We rotated the aggressive and gentle feeders and was delighted to see Millie showed no discomfort…
“PINKY” ONE OF THE MORE GENTLE PUPPIES HELPING TO NURSE HER MUM
The great news is Millie stayed with the puppies all night…
And I can assure you all they have gorged themselves on her milk !!!
My partner stayed with them and says it was the most peaceful night they’ve had…
I managed to sleep a little longer despite my concerns…
As soon as I came down this morning I coaxed Millie on her back to check her nipples…
I am so relieved to say the swelling has almost completely gone !!!
I have weighed all the puppies and am delighted to say they have all gained weight considerably…
They are all feisty squeaky and none the worse for yesterdays dramas…
And as you can see all happy content and coming on amazingly well…

Put it this was I’m a lot happier taking her today than I was yesterday !!!
