MAX AND KATE

MAX (aka “Dave the Doodle”) leaves us tomorrow…

To say I’m sad is an understatement…

Not only is he the last of Millie the Goldendoodle’s litter of pups to leave us…

He’s also my boy – the little ‘dood that has won over my heart…

Of course I loved them all – but Max – Blue Collar – was always my little lad…

MAX HAS BECOME A REAL CUDDLY PUPPY


As soon as he hears my car pull up he rushes to the door…

It’s been wonderful to be greeted by the “doodle dance…”

Max prances and pirouettes and his tail goes a thousands miles an hour…

Then later in the evening he gives me the hound dog eyes – who could resist !!!

I scoop him up in my arms and we “snuggle” for an age…

Unless of course Millie wants to play with him – which is often ha ha…

MILLIE AND MAX WRESTLING AS USUAL

TIRED AFTER A LONG PLAY

Millie absolutely adores him and has really been fantastic with him…

She was a little down after Mazsola and Lulu left…

But with Max around she’s had plenty to keep her mind off things…

I have an awful feeling she’ll take his leaving very badly…

We shall of course be there for her what ever happens…

Though it does beg the question “should we get another doodle…”

All I can say to that is – Neil (Millie’s Dad) now has Sky Sports (bribe..? nah lol)…

And I have my eye on a gorgeous 4-month-old Goldendoodle puppy that needs a new home…

When we talked about it Neil shrugged and said “No worries…”

I’m really thinking on it lol…

Back to Max and he’s become a real little character…

So much so he got into a bit of a mess in the garden the other day…

The mud and 8 weeks living with piddly pooping puppies meant he was a little “smelly…”

BATH TIME!!!







To be honest there was little or no fuss…

After Millie’s first bath I was expecting the worst !!!

Millie of course helped and became extremely excited !!!

Apart from the odd whimper Max took it all in his stride – good lad !!!

Afterwards and once he’d been towel dried Neil said “his coat makes him look like a guinea pig…”

I had to laugh – his hair had dried “against the grain” and he did indeed look like a little guinea pig lol…

GUINEA PIG OR GOLDENDOODLE PUPPY !!!


We’re really going to miss this little chap…

He just loves company and is never too far away…

He was a little lost without his brothers and sisters…

And really does crave loves and cuddles…

His new mum text me last night to say they arrived back in the UK 8am today…

They are so excited and are simply bursting to get here to collect him…

I’m thrilled for them – but very sad as I shall miss him terribly…

I was going to add some pics of the rest of the litter…

But a sudden change in plans at work means I have a two hour drive to a meeting…

So I have to dash and promise to get more puppy news and photos up soon…

MAX THE PUPPY LOOKS MIFFED WHEN THE GIRLS STOP PLAYING


AND THERE was indeed just three little Goldendoodle puppies left…

Life is very very different with just three…

Quieter far less poop and piddle and dare I say a little boring lol…

That’s not to say the last three puppies are boring – far from it lol…

The three in question – Lulu – Max (aka “Dave”) and of course Mazola…

Are enough for anyone to handle – real characters lol – you gotta feel sorry for our Max…

Outnumbered by two of the strongest willed little girl pups you’d ever meet lol…



MAX CAN’T GET THE PIGS EAR OFF THE GIRLS !!!

Their routines haven’t changed much but oh boy are they growing fast !!!

Far more independent far more inquisitive and totally ready for one on one training…

All went to the vet for health checks and their first injections…

Most didn’t like the crate in the car at all !!!

The vet was very pleased with their health and all were well behaved…

Except of course little Mazsola – she really did growl ha ha…

I’m pleased to say none showed any ill after effects…

I know they’re ours but they truly are amazing little dogs…

So very well mannered little pups – always clean to newspaper and extremely gentle with kids…



16 MONTH OLD OSCAR HELPS FEED MAZSOLA THE GOLDENDOODLE PUPPY

So to this weekend and what a mixture of happiness sadness relief (lol) and pleasure…

To see everyone so happy and extremely excited to collect their puppies was fantastic…

It all began on Friday with out little Lilly (aka Yellow) leaving for Wales…



LILLY WAS SO VERY PLEASED TO SEE HER NEW MUM AGAIN

As soon as her mum arrived in the garden and as if by magic Lilly jumped all over her…

Talk about being pleased – she was truly ecstatic lol…

Lots of licks wriggles and of course tail wagging !!!

The news from Wales is Lilly has settled in amazingly well and adores pigs ears !!!



DIGBY THE GOLDENDOODLE PUPPY SURPRISINGLY SWEET THAT DAY (LOL)


Digby was up next and his mum and dad had hardly been able to contain themselves all week…

Being the Alpha Male Digby surprised us all by being a proper little puppy…

He wriggled licked and cuddled like his life depended on it lol…

It truly was a pleasure to see him so pleased with his new family…

And the word is Digby is asserting himself a little but otherwise behaving very well…

He’s got intense training and the “snip” in his future plans lol…

Having only 7 overnight didn’t make much of a difference…

Though of course we totally missed Lilly’s antics and Digby’s smouldering presence…

Millie spent a few minutes whimpering and looking in particular for Lilly (they played a lot together)…

But she was fine really and received extra fuss and love that night…

MUM KEEPING A FIRM HOLD ON MURPHY’S HUMPING HIPS HA HA!

Saturday dawned and rain was in the air – the magnificent 7 doodle pups got very wet and muddy…

Murphy was next to go and the whole family arrived early…

They really had been a state of excitement for weeks…

We’re pretty sure they were camped in the car around the corner this last few days…

Had they have had to wait another day I reckon they’d have burst lol…

Murphy was amazing and played with the kids and loved his new mum and dad…

He’s a gorgeous solid little dog who is going to be loved so very much…

News reaches me that “Shabba Mr Lover Lover Man” is up to his old tricks…

He really will hump anything with or without a pulse that boy…

He’s a real ‘Doodle Stud Muffin – sounds like a good life…

“Bring me that cute poodle washed – I’ll be half an hour…”



MOLLY SNUGGLES UP TO HER WONDERFUL NEW MUM AND DAD (scratches on arm are courtesy of Dave lol)


Our special little Princess Molly was next to leave the nest…

And a quick wash was in order as she’d said goodbye to her special hole in the garden…

Yeah it had been raining and white Molly was a dirty brown Molly lol…

But mum and dad didn’t care they just wanted to take her home…

Friends (even tough guys) and family were eagerly waiting to meet her (she’d like that lol)…

However they were soon distracted by the remaining pups and stayed awhile to play !!!

The news reaches us that our little princess has settled in superbly and is loving her new life !!!

Down to four and we decided to bring out a special treat…

Four little pigs ears for them to chew on…

Holy crap – they absolutely adored them and much fun was had by all lol…



CUTE LITTLE PUP TILLY AND HER LOVELY NEW MUM

Our little Tilly was the last of the weekend puppies to fly the coop…

She has been an absolute joy to watch grow up and develop…

By far the smallest but by far the biggest heart – she was a little tired on Sunday…

She really had packed a lot of fun and fuss into the previous three days lol…

Her new mum and dad had brought almost every conceivable piece of puppy paraphernalia !!!

Tilly was just delighted to be going home to such a lovely family…

She has a great life in front of her with a really big extended family…

That evening as we let Mazsola Max and Lulu out to play it really hit us hard…

All our little Goldendoodle pups grown up and leaving home…

Millie was quiet and more than a little sad…

But “Mad Maz” soon got her out of her quiet mood by jumping all over her until Millie had to play !!!

Millie has taken the loss of her pups extremely well…

On Monday she went for a doggie spa day and had a lovely time at HANDSOME HOUNDS…

Millie has bubble bath pedicure cut and blow dry !!!

We think she looks absolutely stunning and truly deserved the treat…



MILLIE THE GOLDENDOODLE BACK FROM THE GROOMERS

We’re off for a mad Midlands Doodle Meet tomorrow night…

Millie will get to see her bestest mate in the whole world Biddy (and Lynn lol)…

If she knew she’d been unable to contain herself lol…

Millie truly deserves the best of times – she’s been through a hell of a lot…

We can’t wait to take her for a much needed break in September…

AND with the prospect of meeting up with Murphy and his family – should be brilliant !!!

I know the families of the last three Goldendoodle puppies are equally excited as everyone else has been…

Mazsola and Lulu leave us this Friday with Max (”Dave”) staying an extra week…



MAX THE GOLDENDOODLE I LOVE HIM TO PIECES !!!

He’s become my very special little boy – he even howls like a wolf when I leave him…

Funny but Millie’s Dad is none to impressed lol…

I know I’m going to be upset when he leaves – not just because I adore him…

But more because he’ll be the last…

We had considered Millie having another litter in a couple of years time…

But her proneness to mastitis and the fact we could’ve lost her says a definite NO !!!

We shall have her spayed in the very near future and maybe – just maybe get another ‘doodle down the line..?

That’s something we shall be considering as we have decided when the time is right to hit the country !!!

OK I’m blabbering on now to avoid thinking to hard about missing the pups lol…

Phew what a journey – what an experience – what an incredible time this has been…

I sometimes sit back and think bloody hell did we really do all that…

I’m so proud to see Millie’s puppies doing her proud…

By all accounts they really are little ladies and gentlemen…

What more could anyone want..?

OK the blog has been going long before the puppies came along so don’t be strangers !!!

There will be plenty more tales from Millie and her babies…

And we still have three here lol…

BOY are we glad the new puppy pen arrived yesterday !!!

The little Goldendoodle pups have really outgrown the whelping box…

As you can see the puppy power revolution continues…

We called this the charge of the ‘doodle brigade lol…



BEST VIEWED WHILST HUMMING THE THEME FROM THE GREAT ESCAPE

They really did make a bid for freedom – throughout most of the night too…

And whenever Millie’s Dad blocked it off – Millie would cry as she couldn’t get to them…

Letting her stay in the box caused her to overheat so it was a no win situation…

We’re all bleary eyed this morning to say the least lol…

I was downstairs at 3.30am letting her out…

We know the move to the dining room will offer them all more freedom…

However I’m pretty sure the puppy pen is designed for baby giraffes ha ha…

My metric conversion might have been a little out lol…



IF ANYONE NEEDS A BABY GIRAFFE PEN DO LET ME KNOW


Ah well it will fit a purpose – and I have a friend who’s a carpenter popping round…

We’d like him to build some kind of safe enclosure in the dining room…

OK what else is happening in the ‘doodle tribe world..?

Like most of England my partner was watching the crucial England World Cup game…

He had absolutely made sure the little pups were full to the brim of mom’s milk…

Millie had been fed and all were sleeping soundly in time for kick off…

“I reckon they’ll sleep for most of the game…” he’d said confidently…

How sweet and how naive’ men can be ha ha…

You guessed it – just before the referee blew his whistle to kick off – the pups er kicked off !!!

You have to laugh – sorry but you do lol…



Luckily he was able to pause the game – supervise the feeding frenzy – settle Millie and open a cold one…

The good news of course is England won – the bad – Germany…

Add that to a tribe of baby ‘doodles and my man will be a nervous wreck come Sunday!!!

We had a visit from a lovely family yesterday evening…

This was the one chance they could get to see the pups…

Such is the list they are waiting for the last little girl…

Tamas – the dad – spotted his favourite and really hopes she’s the one left !!!

He will just have to keep his fingers crossed as she is indeed a cutie pie…



NOT RABIES JUST WORMING MEDICINE LOL !!!!


I gave the pups their last splurge of worming medicine today…

Most of them took it quite calmly…

Little Orange Pup (as in collar lol) – wasn’t so keen…

I couldn’t grab the camera – but I swear she said “YUK!!!”

OK I shall love and leave you – a zillion things to do…

And I can hear Purple Pup plotting a tunnel dig ha ha…

WITH Kate away all weekend it’s been up to me to look after the tribe of ‘doodles…

Hello I’m Millie’s Dad – and what a Father’s Day weekend I’ve had !!!

The pups have had a real growth and development spurt – Kate will be amazed later today !!!

As you can see from the video the pups are now beginning to play fight…

And vocally they’ve started giving cute little growls…

But all this playing – poohing (more about that in a minute lol) and feeding is a tiring business…

I have to say they are growing up fast…

Purple Pup even made a break for freedom !!!

Millie had left the box and I was feeding her in the dining room…

I returned to watch the football to hear an angry squeak…

Millie had pushed a cuddly toy near the box entrance…

And Purple Pup had used it as a launch ramp…

She was skittering across the floor making a hell of a racket…

Millie raced in and gave me a look of total and utter contempt…

As if it was all my fault !!!



MILLIE NOT HAPPY WITH HER DAD SEEKS COMFORT IN A PUPPY TOY


As if that was bad enough…

A little while later when the puppies were settled I decided to cut the lawn…

Millie has always loved to help – and typically fell asleep under the bush…

Twenty minutes later I returned and my nose told me something was not quite right…

You guessed it – puppy poop fight !!!

I’ll spare you the photos lol – suffice it to say it was a mess !!!

It would appear two of the little ‘doodles had woken at the same time and moved their bowels…

(Millie usually cleans this up immediately she gets the scent)

It was obviously tiring for them so they had fallen asleep…



WAIT ‘TILL KATE GETS BACK I’M TELLING

The others had thought it was jolly good fun to join them…

The end result – 9 little Goldendoodle puppies covered in gooey puppy poo…

I was frantic – I’d already annoyed Millie…

I popped them all in a large basket lined with a towel and began cleaning as best I could…

After five minutes I looked up to see Millie glowering at me…

Not a happy mom lol…

She went into super mom mode and began topping and tailing them – vigorously lol…

Half an hour later they were all good as new and snuggled up to mom for a long sleep…

All I can say is it’s been amazing but boy am I glad Kate’s back later today…

And I have no doubt Millie and the baby ‘Doods are too…

JUDGING from the number of emails I received yesterday…

I’ve managed to turn you all into ‘doodle puppy photo addicts !!!

Trust me I really do know that feeling – I need my daily fix too !!!

My apologies for not making a daily post…

It was frantic here yesterday – the puppies and Millie are more than fine – more to do with me…

I have a big family wedding in Scotland over the weekend…Congrats Leanne !!!

And a girl needs to look her best – so it was hairdresser and beauty salon for me !!!

Boy did I need it after 12 days of the puppy ‘doodle invasion haha…

I tried to coax Millie into the shower – but she was having none of it…

After giving birth and caring for 9 ‘doodles she really does need it…if you catch my drift lol…

But she refused and I didn’t want to stress her…

Millie’s dad is staying behind to look after them so in between football they’ll be well looked after lol…




“WHITEY” SUCKLES ON MILLIE’S DADS BOTTOM LIP HA HA!!!


With Millie spending more time out of the doodle pup “nest”…

I decided to buy a pile of cuddly toys to give them other things to snuggle up to…

I was thrilled to see them wake and start sniffing and investigating the new members of their nest !!!

They have taken to them immediately – especially Millie’s cuddly fish which they all love to cuddle up too…

Millie however had other ideas…

Once she woke from her afternoon nap she climbed into the whelping box…

It was a classic double take as she saw her litter had “doubled”…

The look on her face was one of confusion and then joy as she saw they were toys…

Millie has always been a great organiser of her toys – each one has a special place in the house…

(we have found her toys in all sorts of strange places – we move them she puts them back)

So once she had fed her pups – each toy was taken out of the box and deposited in her special places…

We need her to play with them so the pups get her scent…

I’m pleased to say she has now let the toys stay and the puppies love them…



“PATCH” CUDDLES UP TO THE CUDDLY TOYS

Each pup will of course be taking one with them when they leave…

Which gave me an idea lol…

When Millie arrived with us at just 8 weeks old she too brought a toy with her…

It was full of the smell of Bess her lovely Golden Retriever mum…

To this day it’s Millie’s special toy and is always near by…

So here’s three photos of Millie – the first when she was born…

The second when she arrived in our home with her special cuddly toy…

And Millie now with that same toy – oh boy has she grown !!!

MY apologies if you were expecting individual close ups of the pups today…

Time I’m afraid has been against me – I shall get onto it later today I promise…

And the new batch of coloured collars has arrived – so they’ll look all smart for their close ups !!!

The fantastic news is a few of the puppies have their eyes partly open !!!

It’s usually between 8 to 12 days – so they are well on course…

They are all gaining weight at an amazing rate…




SLEEPY DOODLE PUPPIES IN THE SUNSHINE




To give Millie a bit of a break last night – and after cleaning her nipples which are much better…

We brought her beloved bed into the lounge…

She was over the moon and rolled over in it like a frisky puppy…

We then brought two pups at a time to her…

Without the chaos of the nest she was able to give each special attention…

They all had a fantastic feed and very thorough top and tail…

Their squawks and squeaks were a delight as Millie washed them all over…

OK I have to dash and I promise I shall have the close ups tomorrow…

The “DOODS” have not only found their collective voices…

But have also began to take those first real steps!!!

Given the World Cup is on constantly in our house…

At least the little doods squawks and squeaks drowns out that awful vuvuzela buzz lol…

As for taking their first real steps – it can be a tiring business…

MOTHER AND DAUGHTER SHARE A TRULY TENDER MOMENT

Purple was the first little Goldendoodle puppy to try to stand…

After all she was also the first to scream for her mum (boy she has a voice ha ha)…

And that has enabled her to get the “drop” on the others when it comes to feeding…

As you can see as soon as Millie arrives in the nest – they go berserk…

As the day wore on they all began standing – to varying degrees of success !!!

This morning they were all absolutely worn out with the exercise and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast with mom…




We have of course being weighed the little ‘doodles daily…

And once again I’m delighted to sat they are all thriving – and couldn’t be in better health…

Last week for instance when we changed their bedding we were using a tiny basket…

Yesterday my partner had to use a full sized laundry basket to fit them all in !!!

A BASKETFUL OF DOODLE PUPPIES !!!

Millie had another check up at the vet yesterday…

Being a former nurse I noticed her swollen nipple was looking a little sore…

The swelling had gone down considerably – but the skin around it was tender and red…

It was probably caused by tiny little doodle feet – the vet took a look and gave her the all clear…

However she has been given more antibiotics to keep it under control…

She shows no sign of discomfort and the pups have done her proud clearing it out !!!

OK a little later today we shall be taking individual portrait photographs of the Goldendoodle pups…

And we shall post them tomorrow so you can all get a clearer look at the little darlings…

Her daddy is also working on – of all things – a Facebook application !!!

My partner got the idea after the photo of Millie the Goldendoodle in her England flag was tagged on Facebook…

Quite a few people are using that photo – some even as their profile photo…

MILLIE WEARING THE ENGLAND WORLD CUP FLAG ON FACEBOOK

The photo has appeared on the official English FA page and Carlsberg for England !!!

And best news of all the OFFICIAL FA BACK THE BID 2018 (the World Cup In England) want the original photo !!!

We’re all pleased but Millie’s dad is ecstatic – he says she really is the World Cup Goldendoodle haha…

He thinks we should get Millie and agent – good Lord what next !!!
