THE ‘DOODLE PUPS LEARN TO SIT AND BEG LOL


THEN there were just three little Goldendoodle puppies…

And whilst I write this there’s only one – our little Max (or Dave as he’s known in these parts lol)…

Well I say “little” – he has a squawk as big as his feet !!!

It was his first night alone without the litter last night…

He howled for 2 hours – he was in such a state I had to come down to him…

He eventually fell asleep – but he really is missing his brothers and sisters…

Millie totally ignored the noise lol – well she is still shattered from the mini Midlands ‘doodle meet…



MILLIE TAKES A MUD BATH LOL


As you can see she had an absolute ball and loved seeing her best mates Biddy – and of course Paddy and Lynn…

OK onto the last of the little ‘doods…

They had a whale of a time their last week with us…

I think they enjoyed the more personal touch and loved the “sit and beg” game…

…aren’t they just clever little ‘doodles !!!



MILLIE JOINS IN THE GOLDENDOODLE PUPPY TRAINING CLASS

The last day with the three puppies didn’t start too well lol…

We were woken around 4am to a noise of real distress from all three…

Convinced someone had broken in and was trying to steal them we raced down the stairs…

Some how and no idea on God’s earth how – a black kitten had got into their room…

They had obviously woken and spotted it…

She was a beauty and sat bold as brass staring at them…

The three amigos were in a dreadful state lol…

It took us a long long time to calm them down…

Big tough guys I think not lol…

Our little Lulu (White) was the first to leave us yesterday…



LULU CUDDLES HER NEW BIG SISTER (we love the collar and tag!!!)

She has been a complete star this past few weeks…

Always helping with the cleaning up (lol)…

And always first to come for a cuddle or lick and fuss over any pups who were sad or distressed…

I just know her new family absolutely adore her and she’s going to have a fantastic life…

Word reaches us that she already adores their Labrador Stanley and he her – that is really sweet…

We were both a little sad to see her go – but Millie’s Dad in particular was very quiet…

Maz and Lulu have both been his little “angels” (sometimes the “sisters of sin” lol) since they were born…



MAZSOLA OFF TO PASTURES NEW – AND SOON TO BE BI LINGUAL !!!

Mazsola’s family arrived late afternoon and mum and dad were very excited…

Little Lilac seemed delighted to meet them again and even allowed a lot of tummy tickles from her new dad…

Now THAT is a rare honour…

They were always hoping for a mischievous puppy…

And with little Maz they have got that in bucketfuls ha ha…

If Millie’s Dad was quiet when Lulu left – I swear I saw a tear in his eye when his little Mazola left…

I have to admit this past week the two girls have gotten to me too…

Both absolute stunners and everything you would want in a dog…

Smart – pretty – loving – naughty – feisty – they have it in bag fulls…

OK that leaves us with our old mate Max (Blue/Dave)…




DAVE THE ‘DOODLE – HE LIKES BUCKETS AND DRAINS LOL

He kind of eyed us all suspiciously when we opened the puppy gate giving him the run of the downstairs…

He spent a long time sniffing around and playing with his mum…

But it is at my feet he wants to be – and still whimpers when I leave the room…

He’s the strong sensitive type I reckon lol…

As I mentioned earlier we put him back in the puppy room at bedtime…

But he was having none of it…

We have some work to do there I feel lol…

Max leaves us on Friday (his family are on honeymoon in the US)…

I shall be extremely sorry to see him go – we have a real natural bond going on…

Until then whilst I’m at work Millie’s Dad will have the hound dog howls ha ha…

I can’t tell you how happy it makes us to see they’re all settled in and happy…

COOKIE ABSOLUTELY LOVING HER NEW HOME AND FAMILY

HOW on earth could I forget darling little Cookie..?

My deepest apologies to her and her new family…

Today has been a little hectic at home and on the blog…

We moved to a new host (excellent) but as always with these techno things…

There were hitches all the way – at one point I lost all the photos !!!

So our little Cookie is happy as could be in lovely Surrey…

I don’t think she’s tried the swimming pool just yet !!!

And I hope she hasn’t dug up the carefully filled in fox holes yet lol…

She’s settled in extremely well and adores her family…

It seems she’s doing very well being left alone for short periods…

Mum and the kids hide behind a door listening to see if she’s distressed…

She isn’t lol and on their return she absolutely jumps for joy…

Mom’s feet seem to be the favourite spot for little Cookie to snooze !!!

I’m so pleased all our pups have such amazing homes and families…

So a very big thank you to you all…

And sorry once again Jane for missing darling Cookie in the first post – I hope I’m forgiven

MAX THE PUPPY LOOKS MIFFED WHEN THE GIRLS STOP PLAYING


AND THERE was indeed just three little Goldendoodle puppies left…

Life is very very different with just three…

Quieter far less poop and piddle and dare I say a little boring lol…

That’s not to say the last three puppies are boring – far from it lol…

The three in question – Lulu – Max (aka “Dave”) and of course Mazola…

Are enough for anyone to handle – real characters lol – you gotta feel sorry for our Max…

Outnumbered by two of the strongest willed little girl pups you’d ever meet lol…



MAX CAN’T GET THE PIGS EAR OFF THE GIRLS !!!

Their routines haven’t changed much but oh boy are they growing fast !!!

Far more independent far more inquisitive and totally ready for one on one training…

All went to the vet for health checks and their first injections…

Most didn’t like the crate in the car at all !!!

The vet was very pleased with their health and all were well behaved…

Except of course little Mazsola – she really did growl ha ha…

I’m pleased to say none showed any ill after effects…

I know they’re ours but they truly are amazing little dogs…

So very well mannered little pups – always clean to newspaper and extremely gentle with kids…



16 MONTH OLD OSCAR HELPS FEED MAZSOLA THE GOLDENDOODLE PUPPY

So to this weekend and what a mixture of happiness sadness relief (lol) and pleasure…

To see everyone so happy and extremely excited to collect their puppies was fantastic…

It all began on Friday with out little Lilly (aka Yellow) leaving for Wales…



LILLY WAS SO VERY PLEASED TO SEE HER NEW MUM AGAIN

As soon as her mum arrived in the garden and as if by magic Lilly jumped all over her…

Talk about being pleased – she was truly ecstatic lol…

Lots of licks wriggles and of course tail wagging !!!

The news from Wales is Lilly has settled in amazingly well and adores pigs ears !!!



DIGBY THE GOLDENDOODLE PUPPY SURPRISINGLY SWEET THAT DAY (LOL)


Digby was up next and his mum and dad had hardly been able to contain themselves all week…

Being the Alpha Male Digby surprised us all by being a proper little puppy…

He wriggled licked and cuddled like his life depended on it lol…

It truly was a pleasure to see him so pleased with his new family…

And the word is Digby is asserting himself a little but otherwise behaving very well…

He’s got intense training and the “snip” in his future plans lol…

Having only 7 overnight didn’t make much of a difference…

Though of course we totally missed Lilly’s antics and Digby’s smouldering presence…

Millie spent a few minutes whimpering and looking in particular for Lilly (they played a lot together)…

But she was fine really and received extra fuss and love that night…

MUM KEEPING A FIRM HOLD ON MURPHY’S HUMPING HIPS HA HA!

Saturday dawned and rain was in the air – the magnificent 7 doodle pups got very wet and muddy…

Murphy was next to go and the whole family arrived early…

They really had been a state of excitement for weeks…

We’re pretty sure they were camped in the car around the corner this last few days…

Had they have had to wait another day I reckon they’d have burst lol…

Murphy was amazing and played with the kids and loved his new mum and dad…

He’s a gorgeous solid little dog who is going to be loved so very much…

News reaches me that “Shabba Mr Lover Lover Man” is up to his old tricks…

He really will hump anything with or without a pulse that boy…

He’s a real ‘Doodle Stud Muffin – sounds like a good life…

“Bring me that cute poodle washed – I’ll be half an hour…”



MOLLY SNUGGLES UP TO HER WONDERFUL NEW MUM AND DAD (scratches on arm are courtesy of Dave lol)


Our special little Princess Molly was next to leave the nest…

And a quick wash was in order as she’d said goodbye to her special hole in the garden…

Yeah it had been raining and white Molly was a dirty brown Molly lol…

But mum and dad didn’t care they just wanted to take her home…

Friends (even tough guys) and family were eagerly waiting to meet her (she’d like that lol)…

However they were soon distracted by the remaining pups and stayed awhile to play !!!

The news reaches us that our little princess has settled in superbly and is loving her new life !!!

Down to four and we decided to bring out a special treat…

Four little pigs ears for them to chew on…

Holy crap – they absolutely adored them and much fun was had by all lol…



CUTE LITTLE PUP TILLY AND HER LOVELY NEW MUM

Our little Tilly was the last of the weekend puppies to fly the coop…

She has been an absolute joy to watch grow up and develop…

By far the smallest but by far the biggest heart – she was a little tired on Sunday…

She really had packed a lot of fun and fuss into the previous three days lol…

Her new mum and dad had brought almost every conceivable piece of puppy paraphernalia !!!

Tilly was just delighted to be going home to such a lovely family…

She has a great life in front of her with a really big extended family…

That evening as we let Mazsola Max and Lulu out to play it really hit us hard…

All our little Goldendoodle pups grown up and leaving home…

Millie was quiet and more than a little sad…

But “Mad Maz” soon got her out of her quiet mood by jumping all over her until Millie had to play !!!

Millie has taken the loss of her pups extremely well…

On Monday she went for a doggie spa day and had a lovely time at HANDSOME HOUNDS…

Millie has bubble bath pedicure cut and blow dry !!!

We think she looks absolutely stunning and truly deserved the treat…



MILLIE THE GOLDENDOODLE BACK FROM THE GROOMERS

We’re off for a mad Midlands Doodle Meet tomorrow night…

Millie will get to see her bestest mate in the whole world Biddy (and Lynn lol)…

If she knew she’d been unable to contain herself lol…

Millie truly deserves the best of times – she’s been through a hell of a lot…

We can’t wait to take her for a much needed break in September…

AND with the prospect of meeting up with Murphy and his family – should be brilliant !!!

I know the families of the last three Goldendoodle puppies are equally excited as everyone else has been…

Mazsola and Lulu leave us this Friday with Max (”Dave”) staying an extra week…



MAX THE GOLDENDOODLE I LOVE HIM TO PIECES !!!

He’s become my very special little boy – he even howls like a wolf when I leave him…

Funny but Millie’s Dad is none to impressed lol…

I know I’m going to be upset when he leaves – not just because I adore him…

But more because he’ll be the last…

We had considered Millie having another litter in a couple of years time…

But her proneness to mastitis and the fact we could’ve lost her says a definite NO !!!

We shall have her spayed in the very near future and maybe – just maybe get another ‘doodle down the line..?

That’s something we shall be considering as we have decided when the time is right to hit the country !!!

OK I’m blabbering on now to avoid thinking to hard about missing the pups lol…

Phew what a journey – what an experience – what an incredible time this has been…

I sometimes sit back and think bloody hell did we really do all that…

I’m so proud to see Millie’s puppies doing her proud…

By all accounts they really are little ladies and gentlemen…

What more could anyone want..?

OK the blog has been going long before the puppies came along so don’t be strangers !!!

There will be plenty more tales from Millie and her babies…

And we still have three here lol…

PIC OF THE WEEK – MAZSOLA CHILLIN’ OUT LOL


MILLIE is doing absolutely fantastic…

She had her operation with no problems whatsoever…

She has even left her stitches alone – so no need for the silly collar !!!

Her appetite is a not as good as we might hope – she even refused fresh trout yesterday lol…

But I’m sure it’s just a passing phase…

The good news is she is able to see her puppies – one at a time for short periods…

We managed to film the first encounter between her and Molly (red)…

I was close to tears it was just so moving and beautiful…

One by one all the pups have had 10 minutes with their mom…

It had been so long some were a little frightened and only a few tried to suckle…

We’re glad Millie is now able to play an albeit small part in their development…

She’s still on antibiotics and milk suppressing tablets – and still a little sad…

Hopefully she’ll get though this and enjoy the last couple of weeks with her babies…



COOKIE GETS TO PLAY WITH HER MOM

OK onto the beautiful Goldendoodle puppies…

They have grown so much this last week it’s unbelievable !!!

And with that comes the extra work – we are now more kennel managers than “grandparents” lol…

What I’m trying to say is the size of their piddles and poops has reached shovel proportions ha ha…

And given their intake of food and drink (huge) – there isn’t a spare moment…

OK maybe the odd half an hour here and there – but not much lol…

But even on those rare occasions when they are all asleep (BLISS!!!) – one will wake up…

It’s usually Digby (Orange) – who yawns – scratches – then wanders over to the newspaper and piddles…



DIGBY CONTEMPLATES THE MEANING OF LIFE AND ALL THAT

Before staggering back to the puppy pile and waking everyone up by walking over them…

He’ll fall back to sleep but the others get up and so the cycle goes…

Oh boy does Digby grumble when they tread on him !!!

They are all about 65% trained to go on paper – there’s a couple who miss often…

But all in all they appear to understand the concept…

However there’s a couple of little terrors who adore ripping up the paper…

Lulu (white) – Mazsola (lilac) – Murphy (aqua) and Molly (red) are the main culprits…

With Lulu being the main instigator – she’s a little sparky madam lol…

She does NOT like the dustpan and brush and Millie’s Dad has a right battle with her lol…

But she’s as gorgeous as she’s cheeky – always into mischief !!!

The fantastic news is they are now eating kibble WITHOUT any water or Lactol…

This is great news for the new families and will mean a lot less mess…

We still offer three “wet meals” per day – but with hardly any water…

We also leave a bowl of dry kibble for them to graze on – alongside a bowl of water…

However we have decided to continue with three Lactol breaks per day…

They missed so much of their mother’s milk we think it can only help them…

Plus they absolutely adore it and see it as the highlight of their day lol…

They really do enjoy lapping water – and yeah what goes in has to come out…

Our newspaper pile is dwindling at an alarming rate…

Now we charge friends and neighbours newspapers to come cuddle the ‘doodle pups ha ha…

We did promise a video of them all in the garden – but torrential rain and gale force winds curtailed that…

As soon as the weather brightens we’ll get one up !!!

Until then here’s a very short one lol…





MAZSOLA MAX AND COOKIE MAKE A BID FOR FREEDOM


4am appears to be their wake up time – the whole street hears them too lol…

The noise is absolutely deafening !!!

You really do have to hit the ground running…

Their room is usually a bit messy and they are very hungry and let you know it…



THIS IS YOUR 4 AM WAKE-UP CALL – ROOM SERVICE HERE SUCKS


It takes us a good half an hour to clean feed and get them settled – but even then they want to play…

And these days the little ‘doods play very very hard…

Play fighting – rough and tumble and chewing on anything that isn’t nailed down !!!

Their favourite teething toys appears to be fingers and feet – those teeth are SHARP !!!

But Millie’s Dads Crocs are still the best toys in the world – that and his trousers ha ha…

MILLIE THE GOLDENDOODLE MUSES ON PREGNANCY

JUST a quick up date on Millie the Goldendoodle and her due whelping date…

The past few days have been hard for her to say the least…

She’s never really liked warm weather…

But this week has seen temperatures soaring and with it Millie’s mood dropping…

The good news is she’s finished her antibiotics and her cough has completely cleared up…

But her belly is now the size and shape of a beach ball lol…

A beach ball full of little Goldendoodle puppies squirming wriggling and kicking…

And boy do those boys and girls kick!!!

My partner says if there’s eleven puppies they’ll be named (temporarily of course) as the England World Cup squad !!!

She’s finding it very difficult to get comfortable and to settle…

We moved the laptop outside on Friday and placed a huge umbrella for Millie to sleep under…

It was in the shade of a huge bush she used to play in as a puppy (more on that later lol)…

She seemed pretty pleased and let out a huge sigh and literally collapsed…

However little be known to us a family of blackbirds had built a nest in the very same bush…

And you guessed it that very moment the chicks hatched…

Mom and dad blackbird began their feeding ritual and each time they crashed into the bush Millie jumped with fright!!!

I truly thought the shock would bring on her “labour” – but luckily it didn’t…

I just hope the blackbirds survive – we have enough on our hands with a litter of Goldendoodle puppies…

Without hand rearing baby birds !!!!



OK back to Millie and her bushes…

We have a feeling another bush by the shed is her chosen whelping spot…

She has been desperately trying to get behind it all week…

It might be the shade she’s craving – silly girl wont go indoors – but I’m not so sure…

Might be a good idea to block it off !!!

I spoke to Sam from Gun Dogs UK this week – she’s the breeder we got Millie from…

She’s been fantastic support through this and has become a good friend…

However I wasn’t too happy when she told me about Millie’s mom and whelping…

“She’s always exactly 5 days late…” she said cheerfully….

I nearly died – I’ve booked the whole week off work ha ha !!!

Ah well whatever will be will be – and my boss is pretty flexible over the next couple of weeks…

So fingers crossed Millie will be giving birth this Tuesday…

If not it’ll be next weekend…

I’m sure not something Millie would want lol…

WHAT a fantastic weekend for a ‘Doodle Meet !!!

Gin clear skies – hot sunshine – great people – tons of ‘doodle’s and plenty of shade !!!

And an absolutely beautiful camp site set in the stunning Kingsbury Water Park…

It was fantastic to put faces to so many names from Doodle Mania – the best ‘doodle owner forum on line…

Unlike the ‘Doodle Meet we attended last year this time we were just day visitors…

Millie is just two weeks away from giving birth to her litter of Goldendoodle puppies…

So we felt all the excitement might be too much for her…

However after her initial thrill at seeing all her mates and of course Biddy her best buddy…




BIDDY AND MILLIE BEST MATES SINCE PUPPIES


She soon settled and seemed to really enjoy herself…

Millie was so happy to see Biddy’s mum and dad Paddy and Lynn…

She jumped up and licked Lynn to pieces !!!

As for Paddy – Millie absolutely loves him to bits – as far as Millie is concerned he’s her second dad !!!



PADDY IN A TANGLE WITH SO MANY GOLDENDOODLES AROUND !!!


We all have to thank Julie for the lovely bandanna she made for ALL the ‘doodles !!!

Pink for the girls and blue for the boys !!!

Doodle Mania are tireless in their efforts to raise cash for dog/pet charities…

This event was predominantly to raise funds for the incredible Hounds For Heroes…

They train and provide assistance dogs to both members of the armed forces…

And civilian emergency services who have been injured serving their country…

It’s a registered charity and well worth your support…

Despite the heat Millie was happy to sit in the shade and enjoy all the attention…



GOLDENDOODLES ENJOYING THE SHADE !!!


And there was lots of it – and ice cream thanks to Julie and cold drinks thanks to Lynn !!!

Everybody it seemed wanted to rub Millie’s big fat tummy !!!

The puppies are now moving and it was a joy to see people’s – especially the children’s – smiles when they felt a tiny wriggle…

We were very pleased to meet a family who intend to have one of Millie’s Godlendoodle puppies…

Jane – Kevin and children had driven up from Surrey and immediately loved being fussed by so many different ‘Doodles !!!

Millie was absolutely charming and took to the children immediately…

Especially Felicity whom Millie absolutely idolized…

They are indeed a lovely family and the lucky Goldendoodle puppy will have a fantastic life with them…

They live very close to Doodle Mania owners Rob and Caroline…

And have already researched the nearest ‘Doodle Meet and plan to get the new pup at the first one they can!!!

Doodle Mania is a fantastic forum for all ‘doodle types – and you’re sure to get superb advice and make amazing friends – so pop along !!!

Everyone had arrived by around 3pm and were ready for the ‘doodle walk…

Millie was extremely anxious to get going…

And being the “princess” she is…

Just had to lead the way…

We had to chuckle at her wriggly bottom – walking just like a pregnant duck haha…

Kevin took her lead and Millie was very well behaved – so much so each of the children held the lead for a while…

Once near the water we let her and the others off the leads and splish splash Millie and Biddy were in !!!

Typically my camera went on the blink so sadly no more photos – suffice it to say a few people got splashed and very wet…

A pack of wet ‘doodles shaking off the water has that effect – a much needed cold shower you could say haha…

We decided to cut the walk short to give Millie a breather…

Of course we got lost going back (it’s a beautiful place peppered with lakes – canals and woodland paths)…

And unbelievably ended up walking further than all the others !!!

Millie managed admirably – but boy was she ready for a big cold drink !!!

We went home pleasantly tired and very very happy…

Millie however slept the sleep of the just – we could hear her contented snores through the night!!!

So I’m off to assemble a whelping box so Millie can get used to it before she gives birth…

These are truly exciting times with Millie due to have her litter of Goldendoodle puppies in two weeks time !!!

I’m a little nervous but pretty sure Millie will be a superb mum…
